Landmark building underway with turf cutting ceremony!

23/06/2010
Turf cutting marks the start of the £6.1 million NICU project.

On the 17th June 2010 a turf cutting ceremony was held at the site of the new Royal United Hospital Bath Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to mark the start of the £6.1 million building, for which Provelio are project managers.

Sir James Dyson and Lady Deirdre Dyson donated £500,000 to the Forever Friends Appeal through their charitable foundation, the largest donation to date. The pair cut the turf on a beautiful day in Bath to kick off construction on the first of a new generation of therapeutic healthcare buildings in the United Kingdom.  The new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will transform care for sick and premature babies in the region.

The building is scheduled to be finished in the autumn of 2011.
